Sanders Partee, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Partee is president and chief executive officer of Blue Cotton Tech Services, LLC. As a co-founder of Blue Cotton he brings nearly 20 years of entrepreneurial and executive management experience in the enterprise and network management software business. He has proven experience assessing technology market opportunities, designing software products, selling and marketing technology, planning and executing growth strategies in high-tech markets, satisfying customers, creating sales programs and winning competitive sales. He is an excellent public speaker and thought leader representative in the market. His extensive experience includes technology sales and marketing, corporate strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, customer service, and product management.
Mr. Partee has served as CEO of two venture backed software firms, Ecutel and Viewgate Networks, where he was able raise over $28M of equity and debt funding. At both firms he was instrumental in refocusing business models, expanding sales channels and closing company defining sales contracts. Prior to the VC-backed experience, Mr. Partee served as Managing Director, Data Warehousing for Platinum Technology, Inc. (NYSE:CA) where he was responsible for several product lines and multiple development locations. Mr. Partee came to Platinum after he negotiated the sale of his enterprise software company, Reltech Products, Inc. which he co-founded in 1988. During his seven years of co-managing Reltech, Mr. Partee was personally responsible for Professional Services, Sales and Marketing, Customer Service and Product Development. Mr. Partee began his career with IBM and Andersen Consulting (Accenture). He holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia.

Cal Simmons, Chairman
Cal Simmons is a highly successful business executive, venture capitalist, long time angel investor, and business author. He is co-founder and manager of the Dinner Club, eMedia Club, and Washington Dinner Club, early stage venture funds that leverage the capital, expertise and relationships of angel investors to identify, invest in and grow promising young technology companies. Most recently, Cal co-founded and served as managing partner of ASAP Ventures. Previously, he founded Cal Simmons Travel, which he grew to become one of the top 100 agencies in the country. In l997, after 22 years as its President, he sold the agency to publicly traded, Navigant, the 2nd largest travel company in America.
In 2001, Cal co-authored with John May, the highly acclaimed early stage investment book, Every Business Needs an Angel (Random House/Crown Business.)
Cal has extensive experience in the world of private equity, both managing funds and as an angel investor. He has personally invested in some 30 early stage companies, serving on the board at numerous privately held companies. He is a current member and past Chairman of the Washington area chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). A nationally ranked tennis player and active supporter of area charities, he and his wife, Sally, reside in Alexandria, Va. with their son and two daughters.
Cal was recently appointed by Mark Warner, the Governor of Virginia, to serve a six year term as a member of the State Tourism Commission. |
